Quinta do Torneiro has its origin in the 18th century. As was typical of recreational houses of that time, it has a Catholic place of worship inside, which was used by the family and the workers of the Quinta. In terms of architecture, the Chapel is in the center of the house. Access to the main entrance, which includes the Chapel, is made by an entrance patio, currently lawned, fully enclosed to the outside and open to the Quinta, with the main gate located on one side of the patio.

The Chapel has two entrances: one by the outer patio and another by the hall of the house. This way, the Chapel is located in front of the entrance hall and has a door with direc accesses the Courtyard Garden.

Decorated with Portuguese tiles of high standard, the 18th century Portuguese tile panels from the Chapel of Quinta do Torneiro illustrate some biblical passages and contrast with the gold of the altar, transforming the Chapel into one of the most noble divisions of Quinta do Torneiro. Listed at the Portuguese Institute of Architectural Heritage, our chapel is amazing for a photoshoot or for a wedding ceremony.
